New Name, New Blog

Hi friends!  Please visit my new blog.  Leave me comments like you usually do!  Thanks!!!!!!

TGIF!  Hooray for Friday.  We had Drill Team tryouts last night.  It's strange that it's already started over!  We have our first team meeting on Monday.

Guys, I'm considering leaving xanga and starting a blogspot.  You'll still be able to leave me comments and stuff.  I haven't decided for sure, though.

Have a great weekend!

My Mexican casserole was a success.  My husband gulped it down with gusto.  And then we went and bought a vacuum cleaner.   Love married life.  Seriously.

I was looking forward to a relaxing, slow weekend, but I found out a few minutes ago that Bryan's dad will be having heart surgery tomorrow morning.  Tomorrow is also the day of drill team tryouts, so I'll be joining Bryan in Oklahoma City Friday after work to care for his dad.  He'll be going down tonight, so that means I'm in the condo alone for the first time.  Of course, I could go stay with my parents, but I think I'll be a big, married girl and stay by myself.

You'd think I was in college again... three trips to OKC in only five weeks!

Edit:

It's official: I'm getting a haircut.  About a week or so before my wedding, I started thinking to myself that I was about ready for the long, long hair to go.  Of course, I'd grown it out for the wedding in the first place, so I knew I'd wait until I got back.  And now I'm ready.  The appointment has been made.  This morning, my girls and Lauren discussed what the new style should be, and with their input, I think I've decided to go about 4-5 inches shorter and reinvigorate the side bangs.  It will be a surprise to my husband, who never reads my blog, and generally prefers shorter hair.

Well, happy Tuesday!  Had a good weekend.  I had a great time in Oklahoma City with Chris, Bobby and my boss; an unusual combination, but it worked well.  The Ballet did an excellent job.

I got to go to church on Sunday morning with my family and it was great to be in the Lord's house.  With getting married and being out of town, I hadn't been to church in almost two months!  It was wonderful to be back.

I have to brag on my husband; he surprised me by cleaning the condo for a couple of hours on Sunday while I was still at my parents'.  I was very impressed.  He also got me a birthday cake and roses.  He asked me if that made up for a few of his first-week newlywed bobbles and I heartily agreed that it did.  So, I'm making him a nice dinner tonight.

That's about it!  Drill team tryouts are this week.  We have 14 trying out.  Other than that, I'm enjoying my boring new life!  Yeah!

Hi, my name is Deborah Baucom and I'm addicted to Starbucks fat free iced lattes.

I'm going to OKC for the weekend for Swan Lake, then I'll be back for Easter.  I made Bryan an Easter basket this morning and delivered it to him at work.  He looked a little sheepish, but pleased.  It was a goodwill gesture on my part because Bryan thinks that the Penses have a tendency to over-celebrate every single holiday and that I have frighteningly high expectations.  On Easter, though, the women of the Pense households present the other members with a nice Easter basket, but don't get one in return.  They only graze on the choice candies from their husbands' baskets.   So this is my way of demonstrating that Bryan will also benefit from the over zealous celebration of holidays.

It is freaking snowing in Oklahoma.  Last night and right now.  Is it not April?!?!
